| As topic say. Every PECM has "organizer". Why is that? Why we need local organizers?
It might sound funny. But even after 10 years this is not clear enough... What is main goal of organizer? IMO is one and only:
Find reasonable price sources (of food, accommodation, entertainment)
That is why we need local people. Someone who knows what is the best value for money (reasonable price service) and in the best way negotiate even better deal. As example we can see rule model PECM's at Italy:
- Accommodation found for normal price (mid range - no luxury hotel) with enough beds and parking spot. No big deal.
- Restaurant again for "normal people" and always coming with lower prices than that restaurant has
- Entertainment (race track in those cases) also in acceptable financial range (no Imola) and not mandatory (because not everyone has guts drive his car at the edge 1000 miles from home since breaking it would be fatal for the whole road trip)
Nothing above is against cultural difference or personal choice. it is about responsibility of organizer to find solution suitable for the people. People who trust organizer he/she knows what to do in own country.

note.: if PECM style were "google the biggest and most expensive" there is no need for local organizer at all. In the internet age anyone can google hotel in any place in this world... any restaurant... any race track.
