Hi Carl,
we, the Italians, and probably Malpaso himself, will do the same trip to Lubeck (Germany) and then ferry boat to Riga, as it'll be way shorter and not a so expensive option... ;)

Hi Urputus and Wolf,

Sounds like the ferry from Lübeck to Riga is a good option, we are considering taking it too for the way to Latvia. On the way back we'll maybe drive through Gdansk, Berlin, Karlsruhe and Lyon but this is not sure at the moment.

We will probably also have some people from Belgium as well (they look very interrested :D)
Since some of us are planning to come with their 1st gen Celicas and drive about 4000kms within 10 days, we'll maybe have a big 4x4 with some spare parts and tools for the possible maintenance.

We'll also try to find some sponsors to help us with the travelling costs by having some advertising stickers on the cars...but thats only a plan for now.

Hope to meet you next year!

We are pleased to announce that we have signed an agreement with operator of Bikernieki racing circuit for August 16, 2013.

This will include:

Racing circuit for cars
Kart racing circuit + karts itself.
Track refferees/safety personel
Flags, walkie-talkies (handheld transceivers) and other track safety equipment
Time keeping equipment
Ambulance
Car carrier/hauler
Fire truck + crew
Showers
Toilets
Connection(s) to electric power grid

Mandatory requirements for participants:

Helmet
No short sleeve shirts, t-shirts, nor shorts allowed ( racing overalls not mandatory, but welcome)
Knowledge and acceptance of track rules (basically similar to any racetrack basic racing and safety rules)

For the rest of the guests there will be other entertaining things to do – games, contests etc.
Catering will be provided on the spot (we will provide menu reasonable time before the event).

P.S. as for the pricing, since we have decided to make this an event for everyone with food, games, contests etc. on the spot - there is not going to be a separate fee for the track or Karts alone, so the pricing will be for the whole day.
P.P.S. Since I and LED-BOY have kids, and probably some of you have them and will bring them with you - we are planning for some kids attractions and contests ( except in case nobody signs up with kids).
